TEFAP

The Emergency Food Assistance Program

TEFAP ( The Emergency Food Assistance Program) is another way to receive food assistance through the Pantry. This program is funded by the USDA and food items are sent monthly to be distributed to those in need. We don't have a say in the food items that come and patrons who show up will be given a bin or 2 of what items were shipped. Since this is a USDA program, there are income guidelines a household must fall within to receive food and there is required paperwork needed to receive food. TEFAP happens the first Tuesday of every month.

Volunteer Work

Be A Part Of The Change

At Afton Food Pantry, we are dedicated to supporting individuals through our various initiatives. With one of our initiatives being Volunteer Work, we are always striving to make a difference. We encourage church groups, school groups, families, kids, teams, coworkers and friends to come down and volunteer.

Afton Food Pantry depends on your commitment to volunteer in order to promote real change on the ground and in local communities. If it weren’t for the active participation of countless individuals, Afton Food Pantry would be far more limited.

If you are interested in volunteering to help on a TEFAP night, please look for Tuesdays on the sign up.
